Baby Pigeons

 

Pretty baby birds

so soft and fluffy too!

hatched upon my balcony

cause what was I to do?

I couldn't pitch them overboard

though all my friends did swear

that if I left the eggs to hatch

I'd always have them there

But no I couldn't do it

my little heart did break

at the thought of all that mess

the two eggs they would make

and so I let them stay

to hatch and then to fly

those pretty baby birds

have long since said good-bye!
