Train Chasing

One of the favorite activities on the beltline is train chasing. Here is an action shot of Willie, french bulldog extrodinaire, running to join his buddies in a game of "catch the train and bark a lot while doing it!". This exciting sport, although popular with the doggies, can be a real problem for small children on bikes, the occasional surly jogger, and timid walkers. The fury with which our furry ferocities greet each TTC train is loud, savage, crazed, and outta control! Not for the faint of heart.

Indignities

Indignities do happen on the beltline. No names will be given, but suffice it to say, despite the best efforts of our human companions
improprieties have taken place.

(Here is Pogo, an adult female Chihuahua having her way with Frankee - a puppy, barely housetrained!)

Frankee was neutered shortly after this photo was taken. Pogo was spayed a year ago so her behaviour is somewhat puzzling. And, for those of you not in the know, usually the roles are reversed.

Snared!

In his frenzy to get to the beltline, Cocoa snared Frankee in his leash. Seconds later, Frankee was up and at 'em, retaliating with harsh barks and some quick ear nips. The boys remain on good sniffing terms however, and have vowed to be more careful in the future.

White Dog Summit

There was a white dog summit held on the beltline. Approximately 7 small white dogs attended, several of them Shitzsus.
Topics under discussion: to roll in dirt or not to roll; curly tails? better than short stubby tails?; how often should a small white dog get picked up by complete strangers - once? twice? or several times during a walk?
These questions and more were barked about. Romp breaks were taken, sniff-abouts occurred, and a good time was had by all!
